My Thing for last night was to spin the Kool-aid dyed wool into a single and set the twist so that I can use it to knit a pair of socks. I think it's funny how the newly skeined yarn springs up into a frilly wreath until you wet it and weight it to set the twist.



And here is the same skein after I wetted it down and left it hanging up over night with a half-used bottle of fabreeze on the bottom to stretch out the single:

I think I want to try knitting a simple pair of "period" stockings soon, and I really like this single, but since it is a variegated color it's not suitable for the project... I may try spinning a plain single and dying it after it's been spun to see if the color comes out any more even.
