I'm making my sister a version of this sweater for her birthday. I'm modifying it to have a picture of Jack Skellington instead of the bobbles. The sleeves will be dk grey and white stripes just like all the Lovecraft-ian snake things that Tim Burton is so fond of.

You can all thank my sister and zarhooie for guilting me into knitting instead of copping out and sending cash. And now I leave you with some knitting humor...

I read that cartoon this morning and thought of you. Have you become a theoretical knitter yet?

No... my knitting ability is still only slightly beyond "intermediate". I do have grand knitting plans, but most of them shouldn't violate the laws of physics. Designing a Thneed may be as close as I ever get to theoretical knitting.
