STRING! MAKE SOCK!

So Maggie and Jasmine helped me make a string-related icon. I also tried to capture as much of their personalities as I could in an animated .gif.

I took your advice and ordered both 10 lbs of roving in white, light grey, dark gray, and natural black, AND 12 lbs of wool yarn in white, tan, and almond. All the new string should arrive sometime next week and allow me to warp on a new project after I'm done with Rose Tourney.

Tonight I'm going over to the Kegslayer residence to "sew like the wind" and finish up quackersbob's Haus Kulmbach Man At Arms tabard and put the long-delayed hem on Zig's tabard. (I hates the hemming, I does.) I really want new garb, and I have a mess of fabric lying around, waiting to be transformed into said garb, but I don't feel like working on embroidery just now. Maybe I should bring some pre-cut pieces with me this weekend and I can get through the tedious task of mapping out an embroidery pattern and getting it traced onto my fabric. But really, right now, all I want to do is spin and weave.

Soon. Soon my string and wool will arrive and I'll be able to weave my little heart out. For now, I must be patient...

Oh, OH! Speaking of people who's turn it is to be patient! feeferj and without_within should be receiving small treats via USPS on Monday or Tuesday! I was goodest ever at remembering to have padded mailers, stamps, and appropriate addresses all AT THE SAME TIME. Amazing that. Tomorrow, hopefully I will be able to get ste_mairet's in the mail too!
