Wow. You guys are the bestest friends EVAR. Seeing my ENTIRE dining room table COVERED in cake was the COOLEST thing I have EVER SEEN. (Especially standing there and thinking to myself, "This cake is ALL FOR ME!!!") I'm sorry the A/C couldn't keep up with all the bodies, but thank you all soooo much for coming and hanging out and drinking and sewing and bringing me presents! I didn't think I would have a party so full of lovely people so soon after moving here, and seeing you all filling up my little house with smiling faces and busy hands *almost* made me choke up... But I had a weird pomegranate mojito and MORE CAKE and got over it. But, I did make a mental note to myself to tell you all that you are MADE OF AWESOME. And also, THANK YOU!

Having spent DAYS cleaning up in preparation for this party, the house is now the cleanest it's been all year... And now I'm gonna TEAR IT UP in the 3 days I have left to pack for Pennsic. I really shouldn't start any new projects. I really need to FINISH these last 3 pieces of garb that I've been dawdling over forever - but I couldn't resist starting something with [livejournal.com profile] gflower's present because it was so very, very soft.

I love that the pattern is so easy.

Finally, I leave you all with something gross, yet hilarious that [livejournal.com profile] abelove posted in her LJ. It made me snarf my coffee....

Oooh! Pretty wavy lace! I like it. And look at it this way, now you have a project for the trip, and for quiet moments at the event itself.

Thank you for the lovely party, it made my weekend, even if I didn't end up having any cake!

Thanks for the party! All that cake! I felt a little sugar-shocked, but I was awake all the way home!

It was a great end to a great birthday weekend - I'm glad we share it.

hee. glad you have a great time!

It was a little more dry than I would have liked for a truly decadent cake, but it was still tastey and I'll bet it will go remarkably well with my ginger tea.

I'm so full of cake right now, I'm not sure I can properly appreciate it, tea or no... I think I'll leave it for tomorrow. I think I'm going to go into a diabetic coma.

The larger one he made and we kept at home was much more moist that the test one we brought to you. I should have thought to bring some of it as well.

If I had a nickel for every time I got scurvy from my Tampax...

Snarf your coffee? I laughed so hard it made my abs hurt...

I would totally buy tampons sold in such a package.

Sorry I didn't make it (was traveling home from family reunion) - but I haz string for you...will you be the Stock Pavilion on Wed.? If not...you'll just have to wait until after Pennsic.

Awww, you certainly didn't have to get me anything, especially since you didn't get to enjoy any of our fabulous cake. (We even had "diabetic friendly" entry of "meat cake," which was extremely tastey if I do say so myself.)

I may be at fighter practice... Lots of people appear to have stuff to drop off with me there, so I may just come without Zig if he has to stay home and pack like a fiend.
