So I didn't end up getting the undertunics done to my satisfaction in time for Crown. But Zig and I wore our OMG!YELLOW! tunics and were matching all day anyway.

The lighting is a little more gentle in the photo of Zig, but the actual color of the tunics is closer to what you see in the picture of me spinning. Like I said... OMG!YELLOW!
And now for the curious, here is what I spent ALL my allowance on:

And here is the batt that I made with it as soon as I got it home:

You can just barely see them, but there are noils EVERYWHERE throughout the batt... This resulted in yarn with little bumps and pills throughout... It's not a bad looking finished yarn, but I'm not entirely convinced that it will make good "all purpose string". Thus I'm trying to find ways of either eliminating or avoiding the noils all together. I have a feeling, though, that doing so will cause lots of "wool waste" which the thrifty-fiber-hoarding portion of my soul objects to...
And thus I leave you with a picture that thrills my string-loving-heart to pieces: (My 3 finished skeins.)

Tonight I'm going to try to finish another white skein and dye my existing white skein yellow with tumeric. There will, of course, be pictures to follow.
