Over the weekend, I was quite pleased with myself for *finally* getting my car back into drivable condition. I replaced a headlight and both windshield wipers so that I'd be able to *see* out of my car past 5:00 at night.

And then Monday? The battery died. $%&#!!! Dude. There is much car-hate. Being as it is parked in the middle of a snow-bank, we have no way of getting another car anywhere close to close enough to jump it. I think MAYBE we have a generator somewhere that I can set up outside to charge the battery, but by the time I get home from work, it's full on dark, and I'm not familiar enough with the stupid generator to want to play with it in the cold, darkness. And even if I DO charge the battery, there's no guarantee that it will STAY charged. What if I need a new battery? I probably do... Of course that'll be another hit to my Christmas Fund. *grump, grump.* I'm not dealing with this until the weekend, and I feel that there is NO JUSTICE ON THIS EARTH because I just had to deal with a load of car-related crap LAST WEEKEND. I can't wait to get a new car. (This car only has 60,000 miles on it, so I'm no where near to DESERVING a new car. But I make the last payment on the stupid thing in February, so... At least I can threaten my existing car by openly perusing car dealerships for the make and model of my new-car-to-be...

But back in the really-real world, I'm going to need a ride to Fighter practice.

I feel for you. 12 years and 220,000 miles in, and I'm looking at needing to replace mine next year as well.

I like my legs for getting me places.

Unfortunately, they are very very slow.

sigh......winter sucks

I have a small battery charger if you do not own one. The best bet is to take out your car battery and put it in a warm place, like the basement overnight. Then try charging it for a few hours. Once you put it back into your car, drive the car for 10 miles w/o draining the battery ( which sucks ), this means no radio / cd / or heat.
Let me know if you want to borrow the charger? Sig has my e-mail,
my phone is 1-920-348-6469. I could drop it off on my way to work, which means 9pm ish since I am a vampire at the moment :) :) :)
