Went out dancing with my favorite emergency-back-up-date,
fencert. He was feeling a bit out of sorts, and I was unable to anything but sympathize with him, so conversation was a bit... stilted.
"This sucks."
"Yep."
"Nothing I can do about it."
"Nope."
"I'm right."
"For once, I agree."
"This sucks."
"Pretty much. Lets go dance."
The problem with friend-fights and romances and everything in between is that sometimes you're not right or wrong. Sometimes you're just "not meant to be". (Though in this case, while
fencert may not be *right* I certainly agree with him.) And that sucks, because it hurts, but there wasn't really anything you could have done to avoid it. And as a person who likes to "fix" things for people, this really sucks, because there's nothing to fix really. All I can do is agree and attempt to distract.
On a lighter note, teaching
fencert how to do pole tricks is highly amusing and fun. I just wish that I had a proper pole to practice on. Many of my favorite tricks require the use of some fairly odd stabilizer and trunk muscles that I've not been exercising lately - so my ribs are kinda sore today. On a somewhat less cool note, the poles at the inferno are *sticky* and at least an inch too large in diameter. My wee girly hands don't go far enough around to get a decent 1 handed grip, so I'll never be able to teach
fencert to do anything *truly* fancy... A thing for which I think we should all be grateful.

the Inferno.........................
etc. I do not know think I could convince Paolo to replace the poles for smaller ones. He has spent a Lot on the place in the last year.
I did enjoy watching you taking a try at the poles at the Inferno ( You are a Sweetheart!! )while dancing with Tristan, and knew things were not clicking for you. What? You do not want to teach him to pole dance? giggle, giggle, tee-hee

p's I like hanging out in dark smoky bars that have a good atmosphere, decent drink and decent company. Although that is difficult at times.
