One more night's knitting, and the Maaagic Scarf should be done. I ought to be able to deliver it to [livejournal.com profile] ego_id_non_feci next fighter practice! Yay! And that'll be one thing completed and "out of the living room," so to speak. Next, I will be finishing up my Persian coat and chemise so that I will have something to wear at WW. Also, I will need to make myself a satisfactory pair of sirwal to wear underneath. I think I have just the stripey green and white cotton cloth to do the job, and now that Zig has provided me with a working dryer, I can even pre-wash it (and all the REST of the dirty laundry on the bedroom floor!) before I get started.

R-the-Elder came by yesterday afternoon and helped me take Maggie and Jasmine for walkies. (They have about zero leash manners, so even with the Walk-EZ harnesses, they are impossible for one person walk together without serious cussing. Given the opportunity, they will try to split you around every lamp post and tree from here to the ice cream shop.) R-the-Elder was plenty strong enough to deal with Jasmine, and I did alright with Maggie once we'd been by the pet shop down the street to get her a new harness that fit. (Her other one was too small.) We did a nice little mile long jaunt down to the ice-cream shop on the corner of Fordem and Gorham and back. R-the-Elder was telling me that she is taking guitar lessons and wants an electric guitar. For services rendered this summer, if [livejournal.com profile] naughtyaelf will permit, it just so happens that Zig has an electric guitar and amp that he purchased before he realized that an accoustic guitar was probably better suited for his purposes. Everybody wins! The dogs get walked at the same time (They like it so much better when they go together instead of one at a time.), and R-the-Elder and I get to eat ice cream once a week, the un-used electric guitar finds a home, and I will eventually have a suitable dog-sitter! Hooray!

Maggie and Jasmine lolled about the house in the A/C with the happiest-ever looks of exhausted contentment. I, on the other hand, was eaten alive by moquitos. Time to get more OFF!

If my plans go the way I want, I'll be cleaning my bedroom and office this weekend (Let's hear it for finally having a weekend without any MAJOR commitments!) and finishing up the two previously mentioned projects. Tonight I have MamaDog, a birthday party, and possibly a viewing of the movie Wanted. Busy, busy, busy!
