Bah.
I have FINALLY figured out what I was doing wrong with the sweaters, *both* times I knit them. No wonder I was going crazy.... Every time I read the instructions I missed that little phrase "knit a round"... It only appears in the directions once in ONE KEY PLACE that is never mentioned again, but it is expected that you'll "knit a round" EVERY OTHER ROW FOR THE ENTIRE SWEATER. I never noticed that the numbering sequence switched to odd numbered rows only without so much as a ***!!! or a by-your-leave.
*sigh*

So now I have to rip out THIS entire sweater and start over again... Bah. So... Guess what I'll be doing at ARRG? That's right. Knitting. The same sweater. For the third time.
