OK, this year's birthday has sucked like no other for both stress and logistics, but I would like to point out that it has been like none other for birthday wishes and love given.

More people have taken the time today to wish me well than ever before. I don't know if it's because I've come out of my shell over the years, or because my friends have become more affectionate and thoughtful with age, but thank you all. (Sadly, I think is actually a side effect of myspace.com and it's damnable birthday reminders. I'm not really more loved than when I was 28...)

It really meant a lot to me that those of you who remembered did, because lord knows there are scant few important dates that I can remember myself. You lot all RAWK and if you were here I would bake you a cake.

I know, I know... It's the cramps making me all emotional and sappy. Shut up. And then there was that birthday shot. But really.... I LOVE YOU MAN! I REALLY, REALLY LOVE YOU!

Even my mother was thinking of you yesterday. I said, "When [yourname] was at her mom's -- remember, she took the girls out there --" And Mom said, "Oh, you mean [yourname]! I thought you meant [yourname]! You have to signal these things!" (I don't remember whether you are okay with your actual name going on lj. Anyway, she felt that you had earned your spot as default-yourname by now, and that anyone else was going to have to be designated otherwise forevermore.) I said, "It's her birthday!" and she said, "You have to tell her I was thinking of her, then!" But I forgot until this morning; sorry.

Ahahahaha! I get to be the DEFAULT DEFINITION OF LIZ! That's fabulous. I should change the name of my journal, since I am no longer the Stripper-Elite-Computer-Geektabulous-Yinzer. The new journal can be: "I am the default value for $Liz."

Yes! And the thing that just slays me is that she's met the other Liz in question, plus her household! And you still get to be The Real Liz!
