I seriously intended for this to be a chipper birthday post, but instead, I have cramps.
Friedy got me a slick, black video iPod, though. W00t! I can't wait to set it up, but I want to wait until I have a REAL computer.... Like, one that is MINE and not the company's. Due to the way their current DRM is set up, an iPod can only be associated with 7 different computers in it's lifetime before it self-destructs all it's music, which is bullshit if you ask me. The package says "don't steal music" but yet they have no problems destroying the music that they assured me was mine to listen to forever for one low payment of $.99.
DRM is mostly being used to support evil and not to feed the starving artists of the world. This is so wrong it enrages me to sputtering sometimes. (Other times I just donate money to anti-drm hacker projects because it makes me happy to support the longevity of the music I already paid for once...)
Othertimes I think we should spend more time doing something about BSL and the banning of entire breeds of perfectly good dogs.
The rest of the time I'm apathetic and just want to be left alone so that I can play more Warcraft. Right now, I feel like taking a bunch of drugs to dull the cramps and getting online to stab virtual zombies. Because stabbing is really what I do best right now...

That said, I want to play on a device that can't do the drm, but can do the aac, so, I'm fully in support of that.
