Gentle Reminders:

Generally I don't like doing the "WTF is wrong with me??" style posts, but I am glad that there are sensible people on my FList to remind me of what I might be doing wrong. This move has been a bit difficult for me in that it disrupted the carefully constructed set of habits that I had acquired in Pittsburgh. That last post has reminded me that:

1. I still don't have a good exercise plan/habit in Madison. I NEED one. The problem being that there aren't many exercises that I don't find to be miserable boring.
2. I need to be more careful of what/when I eat.
3. I need to find that stupid full spectrum light, since I'm not working the night shift anymore and no longer have an office with either a window or full spectrum lights. (CMU was a wonderful place to work. Not only did they let us take classes for free, but they recognized the importance of light with regard to the health of their staff. All offices that did not have windows were affixed with full spectrum lighting. I never really noticed how cool that was until I got an office without.)
4. I really like having sensible friends who take the time to hang out with one another regularly. Routine social interaction is something I GAINED in moving to Madison, and I am loving it and all of you! You people are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

#1 and #2 are things I'm struggling with in my move, especially since it's been so long since I've been living with someone who is a large part of my life.

What I hope is going to work for me is that I just bite the bullet and get my exercise done as "private time", and not worrying too much about whether I'm missing dinner or something. It'll be useful in more than one way. Eventually I may work out a different schedule, but right now I have to fit it in whenever possible.

As for the eating, I don't know that I've solved that yet, but I think I'm going to try to be eating substantially different meals from Kelli and Jamie, and just not worrying about the coordination yet.

Yay for the good parts, and I'm with you on the rest. When you find a full spectrum light let me know and I'll put it right next to my WOW station.

Elizabeth already did the footwork for us. Target has them for $30. YAY! ($30 is pretty cheap for FS lights... My last one was like $80...)

Nice! I need to go pick some up soon myself. I need to schedule a night of shopping runs, but I just haven't had the time....

Let me know if I can help. FencerT loves the shopping.
