I've been meaning to post an entry about my new spinning wheel for over a week now, but haven't gotten around to it...

Too busy spinning, you know. Well that, and the World of Warcraft has been calling to me. Mostly because frustration makes me work harder than anything else. My mage keeps dying every 2 minutes and it's really pissing me off.

Plus, over the weekend, it was my hairdresser's birthday, and everyone knows that hairdressers throw fabulous parties, so I had to go out drinking with her...

But. BUT!

As usual, the photos are a little dark, but there is my beautiful spinning wheel. It needs to be stained, but I couldn't wait to make string with it. And here's some of the string that I made:

But then the question is... What do I do with all the string? I can't afford a loom yet. It's going to be MONTHS of me saving up my allowance before I can afford a cute little double heddle table loom with which to drive myself bananas...

Thus I've had to console myself with knitting:

I'm currently making my Friedy a sweater from Real Sheep (TM).

Of course, the first time I brought the roving (processed, unspun wool) into the house, I was hungry, so I dropped it on the coffee table and went to cook dinner. When I came back into the living room, there were bits of wool EVERYWHERE. It looked like it had snowed - and Maggie and Jasmine were sitting innocently in the middle of the mess saying to me, "MOM. Next time bring us the kind that still has the sheep in the middle."

*sigh*

This weekend, hopefully I'll have time to go back to the Fiber Shop and get some more wool for spinning.... And maybe fondle some of the looms a bit and start thinking about what kind of loom I will get as soon as I can afford one. Anyone want to come with?
