Woof. Busy, busy, busy! But at least my first solo flight on a client site seems to be going well. *knock on wood* Everything is going *mostly* the way it's supposed to in all the manuals with just enough problems that I'm not getting the eerie sensation that something's about to go horribly wrong. (There have been times when I've found myself in a data center staring suspiciously at the monitoring server and thinking, "It's quiet... Too quiet..." And then I restart the monitorring service and get 28923982938 notifications of things that were horribly wrong, but stuck in a queue somewhere.)
Thus far, I'm ahead of schedule with the installation that I'm working on. I'm still a little nervous about the wrap up phase of this project as it involves things other than tinkering with someone else's servers, but I've done my homework for tomorrow and that's all my attention span can handle for now. Yet another 12 hour work day under my belt.
I'm actually rather proud of myself. There was an issue with a document repository that didn't migrate properly today. I resolved the issue myself before the people that WROTE the software could figure out what had gone wrong. *yay me!*
This, of course, only counters my idiocy yesterday - fortunately that wasn't really a client facing thing. It's a long story without much of a point really, but if you're that bored, do read on:
