In about a month, my group is doing silk banner making. :-)

If it makes you feel any better, I've only ever entered one A&S competition (the theme was sheep), and I don't much care for a "competition" either. I'm also not much of one to sit still long enough for displays (although they are pretty to look at). But I love sitting people down and teaching them to make pretty scrolls.
